The World is looking to decarbonize transport and, due to its very high power to weight ratio, Green Hydrogen offers the best solution for long distance freight and public transport. Chinook’s unique and patented RODECS technology can manufacture Green Hydrogen in a small industrial unit where the hydrogen fuel is manufactured right next to the bus depot or logistics hub on a 24x7 basis. The co-location removes the high costs of transporting hydrogen and Chinook can manufacture it without requiring significant utility network investment. Chinook manufactures the Green Hydrogen from waste materials and, therefore, at the same time as decarbonizing transport, Chinook is also diverting waste away from landfill, particularly plastics which can take centuries to decompose.

Chinook is currently developing Green Hydrogen projects in the UK and the US. Chinook has signed a Letter of Intent with a major Middle East corporation for the joint development of several Green Hydrogen from waste projects in that region.

Thanks to Chinook’s flexible RODECS technology, the same plant and equipment can manufacture high quality activated carbon and Green Hydrogen. This means Chinook can build a profitable Green Hydrogen plant in a location IN ADVANCE of hydrogen demand being there and can gradually switch over production from activated carbon to Green Hydrogen as demand builds. This process flexibility addresses one of the main issues encountered when considering hydrogen investments which is “No demand without proven supply, but no proven supply without existing demand”.
