Bill Gleason, President of Chinook Energy, was appointed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke to the Renewable Energy and Energy Advisory Committee (the "Committee").  The Committee will advise the Secretary and the U. S. Government regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of the U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, including programs and policies to expand U.S. exports of goods and services related to renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The Department of Commerce reviewed over 90 nominations for the Committee for highly qualified individuals representing a wide range of companies and technologies.  Mr. Gleason's appointment is a reflection of Chinook's unique, proprietary and market leading technology and the company’s contribution to the field of Energy from Waste in addition to Mr. Gleason's notable expertise and experience in the renewable energy sector.
